A Taste of What You'll Do

Join the dynamic world of Gallo Winery as a Market Development Manager - Malt Beverage! We're looking for a passionate individual to drive the success of our brands in Retail and On-Premise accounts through innovative sales and marketing strategies. In this role, you'll maximize the sale and distribution of Gallo brands by working closely with distributor personnel to execute monthly programs, identify gaps, and deliver impressive points of distribution. Your strategic planning skills will be vital as you make thoughtful decisions to optimize time and resources, focusing on the highest opportunities available.

Your ability to motivate and train distributor representatives and district managers will be crucial in achieving performance goals and ensuring consistent retail pricing in line with state brand guidance. By gathering marketing intelligence and reviewing product performance, you'll identify competitive and brand opportunities to further enhance Gallo sales. You'll act as a liaison between the local Shopper Marketing team and other winery support areas, ensuring our brand standards are communicated effectively.

As a Gallo Ambassador, you will embody innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit, embracing change and future-focused thinking. Your role will involve supporting digital marketing programs, leveraging technology for performance monitoring, and activating consumer engagement initiatives. Building positive relationships with accounts and distributor personnel will be key, as you negotiate monthly objectives and sales incentives. Maintaining responsibility for business expenses and regulatory compliance will round off your duties.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
  • Required to travel by air and car in order to execute job functions.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business.
  • Experience demonstrating strong leadership selling, time management, public speaking skills.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out
