Job Title: Mobility Operations Engineer Client: TEKsystems (Aerospace & Defense Industry)
Location: Farmington, CT; Dallas, TX; or Tucson, AZ (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract Travel: No travel required between sites Work Environment: Hybrid - occasional on-site presence at designated office locations Position Summary: TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled and driven Mobility Operations Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise mobility transformation for a major aerospace and defense client. This is a high-impact role for a mobility expert who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering secure, scalable, and innovative mobile solutions. As part of a specialized engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining mobile infrastructure and operational processes that support thousands of users across multiple business units and geographies. You will be a key contributor to a strategic initiative aimed at modernizing and consolidating mobile operations across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: * Provide fourth-level engineering support for mobile operations across domestic and international user bases * Lead the design, testing, and deployment of enterprise mobility solutions as part of a large-scale transformation initiative * Translate vendor technologies, product roadmaps, and service offerings into actionable, enterprise-ready solutions * Collaborate with business unit mobility leads to consolidate support systems and manage escalations * Track and resolve complex ticket escalations using various Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms * Author and maintain Knowledge Base Articles, SOPs, and system architecture documentation * Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment with enterprise mobility goals * Drive innovation in mobile engineering and service delivery, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and enhanced user experience * Consolidate and standardize mobile operations processes, including: * Device deployment and lifecycle management * Lead and execute system upgrades for both on-premise and cloud-based mobility infrastructure * Provide architectural oversight and contingency planning for multiple MDM environments * Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure operational continuity * Independently manage complex projects and respond to ad-hoc technical requests Required Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience providing end-user support for mobility issues * 5+ years of experience engineering mobility solutions in enterprise environments * 5+ years of experience developing and optimizing mobility operational processes * Mandatory expertise in Microsoft Intune and MobileIron - candidates without this experience will not be considered * Deep understanding of MDM, MAM, endpoint security, and mobile infrastructure architecture * Experience supporting mobility in regulated industries (preferably aerospace or defense) * Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid, fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with mobile environments and enterprise mobility architecture * Familiarity with Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) and Microsoft Azure Active Directory * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Proven ability to lead through influence and communicate technical concepts effectively * Experience with document control and update processes * Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure * Self-starter with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset Employee Value Proposition (EVP): This role places you at the center of a strategic enterprise mobility transformation within a highly secure and regulated environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
