ATI is currently hiring a Maintenance Engineer at our manufacturing plant in Millersburg, Oregon. This is a day shift, onsite position typically working 7 AM to 3 PM. Relocation assistance is available.

A maintenance engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and executing maintenance activities to ensure that equipment, infrastructure, and facilities function reliably and efficiently. The role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies aimed at increasing equipment reliability, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Contributes to a work environment that fosters a reliability driven culture.
  • Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions and ensure necessary repairs.
  • Monitor equipment and infrastructure performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Work collaboratively with electricians, millwrights, pipefitters and other skilled trades to solve problems and resolve issues.
  • Implement maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of machines and equipment.
  • Track the implementation and effectiveness of the maintenance strategy and identify recommended improvements for optimization.
  • Set and track Key Process Indicators (KPIs).
  • Create reports and maintain records of equipment maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for equipment upgrades.

Required Qualifications:



  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and fixing mechanical systems and equipment such as pumps and vacuums. Furnace experience highly preferred.
  • Experience using a CMMS or ERP system to track maintenance data and activities. Oracle preferred.


Preferred:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant field.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Experience working with machines and equipment in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Reliability-Centered Maintenance mentality - experience tracking and improving equipment, developing preventative maintenance plans and schedules.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $95,000/annually +
