When you thrive, so does the community of care we're building together. Be the Best Director of Patient Experience You Can Be If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Music Therapy, or Divinity from an accredited university or college; certified, registered, or licensed in appropriate discipline as required by the state.
- Minimum five years' experience; minimum two years end-of-life care experience; minimum two years of supervisory or program development experience in end-of-life care.
- Ability to supervise staff from a variety of psychosocial disciplines including social workers, chaplains, music therapists, volunteer directors, and bereavement coordinators.
- Must have reliable automobile, valid driver's license and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
Responsibilities: As a Director of Patient Experience Hospice, you will:
- Integrate psychosocial services into the hospice's interdisciplinary team by setting goals that align with the mission and monitoring
progress toward goals including development and implementation of standardized orientation. - Develop and implement Supportive Care objectives, policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all accrediting and certifying agencies related to the provision of psychosocial services in hospice care.
- Ensure continued development of psychosocial program in hospice by assisting in development of job descriptions for all psychsocial personnel.
- Promote hospice psychosocial services both internally within the organization and externally to the community at-large
- Ensure continued growth and education of psychosocial workers in end-of-life care.
- Collaborate with business development department to facilitate CE events internally and externally.
- Ensure that department operates within established financial guidelines and participates in strategic planning.
- Participate in networking and building relationships with external resources.
- Integrate department services into the organization's mission by setting goals that align with the mission and monitoring progress
toward goals. - Advocate and work with Clinical Leadership Team to determine staffing and supportive care departmental needs.
- Promote employee satisfaction and take necessary action to maintain a productive and motivated psychosocial staff. Provide
mentorship and education to staff.
