About this Opportunity

MillerKnoll's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

As an Indirect Supply Management Intern, you will focus on spend including services, software and goods which help keep the business running. In Indirect we focus on contracting, running requests for proposals (RFP's) and finding opportunities within MillerKnoll to align and leverage our spend. Departments like Operations, People Services, Information Technology, Marketing and others cannot function without indirect spend.

  • Support contract review and negotiation efforts by gathering data, preparing documentation, and coordinating with internal stakeholders
  • Help improve the supplier onboarding experience by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements
  • Participate in the execution of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including vendor communication, data collection, and analysis
  • Contribute to refining the vendor intake process to ensure accurate documentation and smooth handoffs across teams
  • Performs additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.

  • Basic knowledge of supplier relationship management (quality, delivery, cost, performance).
  • Interest in AI & Emerging Tech: Demonstrated through coursework, side projects, or just curiosity.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Comfortable working with data, identifying patterns, and asking the right questions.
  • Adaptability & Willingness to Learn: AI evolves quickly; you want someone who can pick up tools and concepts on the fly.
  • Communication & Documentation: Ability to capture processes, write FAQs, or summarize findings clearly for business partners.
  • Collaboration: Works well with cross-functional teams and can bridge technical details with business impact.

Education

  • Enrolled and pursuing a four-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or a related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request.
  • You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or withoutaccommodations
