OpenText is hiring a Senior Principal Data Architect to lead architectural strategy and design for our transformational Data Cloud initiative - to turn enterprise content and application data into trusted, AI-ready data products.

Your Impact:

You'll report to the SVP, Chief Architect and be responsible for architecting the Data Cloud solution that bridges enterprise information management with agentic AI. This is a great opportunity to shape the future of enterprise data strategy and build the semantic, scalable data platform that drives decision-making and agentic AI across the enterprise.

What the role offers:

As a Senior Principal Data Architect, you will:

• Develop a unified data architecture integrating structured and unstructured data, eliminating silos and boundaries.
• Define data product specifications with standardized data contracts and governance controls.
• Design AI-driven knowledge graphs from large repositories of unstructured content.
• Architect AI-native data pipelines for contextual search and agentic workflows via AI platforms.
• Create accuracy enhancement frameworks to reduce hallucinations and ensure verifiable results.
• Lead strategic customer pilots in legal, healthcare, and financial services with clear ROI demonstration.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 10+ years of enterprise data architecture experience designing large-scale platforms for Fortune 500 companies.
• Expertise in modern data architecture patterns, data processing frameworks (Spark, Kafka), and data formats (Delta/Iceberg).
• Strong background in knowledge graphs, semantic technologies (RDF, SPARQL, Neo4j), and vector search.
• Proven experience in data governance and lifecycle management, including catalogs, lineage, data quality, and privacy controls.
• Solid AI/ML foundation with hands-on experience delivering production-grade AI solutions (LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, MCP).
• Deep understanding of multi-cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud strategies.
• Demonstrated leadership in shaping technical vision and driving enterprise-wide architecture initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in complex B2B environments.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $198,030.00 - $325,335.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
