Route Supervisor

Job Summary

The Route Supervisor creates and maintains routes for drivers to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service to all customers through utilization of routing system.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Supervises, creates, assigns and organizes driver routes ensuring route efficiency based on stops and route costs.
• Manages and reviews daily and weekly reports.
• Conducts accident investigations and reports findings to upper management.
• Monitors driver hours and performance to maintain compliance with DOT regulations.
• Responsible for completing driver evaluations.
• Maintain current customer accounts through personal, telephone and email contact ensuring quality service to each customer in coordination with Customer Engagement Center.
• Must be available to provide communications with customers and/or Customer Engagement Center during regular business hours as well as after hours and weekends.
• Supervise tank maintenance drivers.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass DOT physical and maintain medical card.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screenings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of routing system experience such as Roadnet, Peoplenet, and Oracle.
• Works well with others in a team environment.
• Communicates clearly in verbal and written form.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Good math and computer skills.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or 3-5 years logistics experience.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
• Occasionally must push, pull, move or lift up to 50lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location, office environment, company vehicles or personal vehicle, and in customer locations.
