About the role
The Event Planning Lead is a critical leadership role responsible for managing and supporting a team of event planners. You will oversee event planning operations, ensuring high-quality delivery while providing mentorship and guidance to the team. Your role will be instrumental in aligning the planning team's efforts with organizational goals and enhancing client satisfaction.

As Event Planning Lead, you will



  • Manage and mentor a team of Event Planners, fostering a collaborative culture and providing constructive feedback through regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
  • Oversee the end-to-end event planning process, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
  • Develop and maintain clear planning standards and documentation to ensure consistency across all events.
  • Lead the training and development of team members, assessing performance and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate existing workflows, implementing tools and strategies to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align event planning with organizational objectives and provide operational performance updates in leadership meetings.
  • Ensure all events meet the highest standards of quality and address client concerns effectively to enhance client experience.

You might also have



  • A Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning, ideally involving complex events and operations management, along with 2+ years in a direct people management role.
  • Strong leadership skills and a track record in fostering positive team dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.


You should know



  • This role requires in-person attendance at the client's headquarters in Beaverton, OR, a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Standard working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Event Planner Lead is between $75,000 - $85,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
