Police Supervisor I

The primary purpose of Police and Public Safety is to protect the life and property of the students, faculty, and staff on the campus of Fayetteville State University and to support the University's core mission of academic excellence by providing comprehensive and professional public safety services, as well as convenient access to a peaceful and orderly campus community.

This is professional work involving enforcing the law of the State of North Carolina and the United States Government at Fayetteville State University. Employees have full law enforcement authority, ranging from traffic control to criminal investigations, within a limited geographic jurisdiction. Work involves patrolling an assigned area, responding to and investigating complaints or calls, and detecting violations of State Laws and applicable regulations. Conduct self-initiated security checks to protect people and property to include zone checks and buildings.

At the agency head's discretion, up to two additional years of sworn law enforcement experience may be preferred.
