Essential Job Duties |
We are looking to fill two P-Card Reconciler positions that will help keep the financial operations of NC State's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences running smoothly and accurately. As a
P-Card Reconciler, you'll process, audit, and approve procurement card transactions for departments and administrative units across the College. Your attention to detail ensures that all purchases meet university, state, and federal compliance standards while supporting the vital research, teaching, and extension work of
CALS.
In this role, you'll collaborate with faculty and staff across 12 academic departments, 101 county Extension offices, and multiple research stations, providing guidance on P-Card policies and serving as a trusted resource for accurate, compliant financial transactions. You'll also have opportunities to train others, improve processes, and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and approve P-Card transactions within the CALS Business Services Unit.
- Audit and reconcile monthly statements to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely submission.
- Monitor transaction workflows, identify potential issues, and address policy violations.
- Provide training, support, and policy guidance to departmental and administrative staff.
- Serve as a liaison to CALS departments and university offices on P-Card procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education |
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Preferred Qualifications |
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation practices.
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft Financials (or similar systems), Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high transaction volume and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to collaborate effectively across diverse units.
- Experience applying university or state financial policies in a research or higher-education environment.
