OPPORTUNITY: Temporary HR Specialist - Newport Beach, CA (6 months minimum)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Benefits

    Opening and completing new hire benefits and qualifying life events
  • Managing cases in Empyrean
  • Sending out monthly newsletters from Wellcents
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits

Onboarding

  • Responsible for New User tickets and updating the background tracking sheet
  • Ensuring managers complete onboarding in a timely manner
  • Onboarding property calls
  • Onboarding corporate employees
  • Assisting managers with onboarding through Teams or email
  • Managing the I9 process

Customer Service/Other Duties

  • Responds to employee questions in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed for employees in 8 states
  • Creates valuable benefit materials for employees and managers
  • Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company's standards
  • Recruiting, LOA and Background Processing duties as needed

Required Competencies and Skills

  • 2-4 years demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist
  • HRIS systems experience
  • Outlook Email, Calendar and Contact systems experience
  • Microsoft Excel and Word experience
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws, government regulations and agency rules
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures of Human Resources functions including: recruitment and selection, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS systems

Other Qualifications:

  • Recruiting experience preferred

  • ATS experience preferred

  • LOA experience preferred

  • Background processing experience preferred

Salary range $33-$35/hour.
