    Wages and Benefits:
    Minimum hourly rate: $26.22

    Job Responsibilities:
    1. Processes invoices for payment using Skyward Financial accounting software.
    2. Maintains AP finance system, coordinate AP documentation and prepare reports for School Board and Sales Tax.
    3. Assists school district staff and vendors for the purpose of responding to questions regarding accounts payable procedures and data in a positive and professional manner.
    4. Prepares checks and electronic payment uploads on a weekly basis.
    5. Assists with the biannual election process, including participating in all election trainings and workshops and performing any election activities and duties as necesssary under the direction of the Coordinator of Purchasing, Insurance & Elections.
    6. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level and participates in cross training for other accounting functions.

    Job Qualifications:
    1. Two-year business degree or equivalent experience in accounting and accounts payable, procedures and practices.
    2. Evidence of knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, including the ability to accurately calculate percentages, discounts and sales tax.
    3. Experience with automated accounting systems.
    4. Knowledge of governmental accounting and school district procedures helpful.
    5. Skyward Finance software and Laserfiche scanning experience, plus evidence of excellent mathematical skills.
    6. Evidence of excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    7. Evidence of ability to type 50 wpm and accurately and successfully complete a ten key data entry assessment.
    8. Evidence of time management skills. Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and anticipate and accommodate workload needs.
    9. Evidence of excellent attention to detail, organizational and record keeping skills.
    10. Evidence of stress management skills, being a self-starter and ability to work independently, take initiative and work well under pressure.
    11. Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective verbal and listening communication skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
    12. Evidence of ability to learn new computer software.
    13. Evidence of ability to stay on task with frequent interruptions. Mental alertness is necessary to ensure accurate and thorough completion of work activities.
    14. Willingness to work with various departments and cross train within the Business Office.
    15. Willingness to participate in professional growth and improve on the functionality of the Business Office to support the organizations continued growth.
