Position: Operations Research and Sustainment Analyst, Mid to Senior Level - FAA: BNATCS Function: Operations Research Location: Hybrid/Remote Site - Washington, DC (see travel requirements on the bottom) Job SummaryThis position provides advanced operations research and sustainment analysis support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in alignment with the Big New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) modernization effort. The analyst will apply quantitative, statistical, and data-driven methods to evaluate system readiness, reliability, maintenance strategies, and long-term sustainment planning for NAS systems and infrastructure. The role supports data-informed decision-making across system design, deployment, and sustainment phases to enhance operational availability and cost-effectiveness. Years of Relevant ExperienceThe position requires 10+ equivalent years of experience in operations research, sustainment analysis, performance analytics, or lifecycle logistics. Experience with aviation, defense, or transportation systems is desired. Direct FAA experience is a plus. Essential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned. * Apply operations research and statistical analysis to evaluate sustainment performance, readiness metrics, and lifecycle support strategies for BNATCS systems. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Operations Research, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. * Demonstrated experience conducting sustainment and operational performance analyses for large-scale systems. Must be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. Must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Public Trust security clearance. TravelOccasional travel required as needed by client and/or company. This position may also require employees to come into an office several times per month to meet with the client, integrator, or Cobec teams.
