Position Title: Press Set-Up Operator
Wage: $36.00 - $40.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:30pm - 11:30pm (Monday - Friday) Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Press Set-Up Operator at a company in De Soto, TX. This is a direct hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now! Press Set-Up Operator Responsibilities: - Review job specifications including paper size, color and ink requirements - Request appropriate materials, chemicals and supplies - Adjust press components such as feed guides, grippers and delivery systems - Regulate ink volume and install printing plates - Produce and review proof sheets for quality and accuracy - Obtain approval before full production run - Operate press to maintain optimal print quality and production speed - Maintain press and work area cleanliness - Stay current on press methods, materials and equipment - Keep reference samples of completed jobs - Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs - Assist in training press operators and helpers Requirements for Press Set-Up Operator: - High school diploma or GED - 3-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience with Heidelberg press preferred - Ability to read and write simple instructions and communicate effectively in small group settings - Basic arithmetic and ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages - Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve routine problems - Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally - Visual requirements include close, distance, color vision and focus adjustment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
