The role:

As our Distributor Sales your k focus is on spending time in field with salon business consultant sales group to educate and influence through planned brand building days and sales meetings. You will report to our Senior Regional Sales Manager.

You will increase sales within the BSG & Mountain Star Sales channel by maximizing growth potential opportunities in existing customers and by acquiring new customers through the implementation of joint business plans, new product introductions and resource management. You will Work with Education Managers, Marketing and Internal staff to increase portfolio depth and sales.

What you will do:



  • Meet and guide a team of Distributor Salon Business Consultants (SBCs) to promote the purchase, sell-through, and support of Kao USA products, promotions, and programs through Brand Building Days.
  • Plan and coordinate an established sales meeting schedule with the distributor management team to deliver bi-monthly sales plans.
  • Manage and host all regional sales meetings, calls, and events with the distributor live and in person whenever possible.
  • Align with and enroll functional partners to support engaging meetings that align with our mission.
  • Present Kao USA products, programs and materials to grow brand sales, loyalty and engagement within distributor field sales managers and their teams.
  • Attend Distributor planning meetings to gain agreement and develop an executional plan for Business Building Funds (BBF) activities and goals.
  • Attain Distributor commitment on promotional sell in of new products and promotions for a given sales year.
  • Create a new business pipeline in partnership with SBC team, following the CRM leads process to qualify opportunities.


What you will need:



  • 5 Plus years' experience in consumer goods with specific sales and/or marketing experience preferred.
  • 5 Plus years' Salon Sales experience with proven results.
  • Field Sales Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and effectively communicate customer business plans to customers within the salon industry.
