Posting Summary |
The Department of Biological Science at Rutgers University-Newark invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor appointment in the broadly defined field of cellular, molecular, and developmental biology. The successful applicant will contribute to department research initiatives in the general areas of host-microbiome axes and/or cytoskeleton/epigenetics/developmental biology in model experimental systems. The successful applicant will join a growing, collaborative environment with access to outstanding infrastructure support including microscopy, genomic, metabolomic, proteomics and animal facilities within the Rutgers-Newark and greater Rutgers research core ecosystem. Applicants currently in postdoctoral and assistant professor positions are encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent, a record of peer-reviewed publications, and a research plan that clearly articulates future research direction that promises of future extramural funding success. Additionally, the successful applicant is expected to contribute to teaching missions at undergraduate and graduate levels. Rutgers University and the Department of Biological Sciences will provide excellent research space, a competitive start-up package, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026. |
