Title: Manual Mill Lathe Operator Location: San Antonio, TX 78226 Duration: 4 months assignment with possible extension Pay Rate: $31/hr. on W2 (no benefits) Role & Responsibilities: Fabricate, repair, and maintain various tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise tooling components Operate manual machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders Utilize measuring instruments, both in the shop and out on the aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality of work Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions for tooling needs Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards Assist with aircraft structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks as needed Fabrication of aircraft parts Required Skills: 5+ years of experience as a Machinist or Tool Maker. 5+ years of experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines. 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications. 5+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools. Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance (Depot Level). Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
