Job Overview This promotes excellence and innovation in nursing care, contributes to the growth and development of nursing staff through developing / implementing education activities and facilitating the application of nursing theory into clinical practice. Acts as educator to improve and enhance functional capabilities of licensed and non-licensed personnel and volunteers by the provision of orientation, continuing education and in-service programs. Works with the medical and nursing staff and other hospital departments in a collegial and collaborative relationship to ensure safe care to patients through compliance with unit policies, procedures and protocols. Counsels and coaches nurses when problems arise in nursing clinical practice. Location: Main Campus Hours: Day Shift Job Description Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing. 2. Registered Nurse (RN) license. 3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 4. Two (2) years of nursing experience and expertise as required by department. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Master's degree in Nursing. 2. Nursing Professional Development Educator Certification. 3. Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience and expertise as required by department. 4. Clinical teaching experience. 5. Prior supervisory experience.
