Job Location Duke Raleigh Hospital Raleigh, NC Job Summary Hospitalist APP Providers in the Hospital Medicine Department are clinicians who provide clinical care for patients admitted at Duke University Health System hospitals. They support surgical and specialty services through consultative general internal medicine practice, as well as teach staff, graduate medical trainees, and medical students on inpatient educational rotations. Job Duties and Responsibilities Hospitalist APP Providers will engage in direct patient care activities and medical/clinical practice as the principal component of his/her overall professional responsibility within the Department. Patient care activities will include, but are not be limited to the following:
Job Eligibility Requirements Education PA: Graduate of ARC accredited Physician Assistant Program NP: Graduate of MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program for adult care Certification PA: PA-C NP: AGACNP, ACNP, AGNP, FNP License PA: Current unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB with authorization to practice as a PA. NP: Current unrestricted RN license issued by or recognized by the NCBON with authorization to practice as a NP. Both: Federal and State prescriptive authority Current ACLS certification required before hire Experience Inpatient APP experience preferred, but will consider new grad Physical and mental requirements:
