General Summary: The Laboratory Technician I is a member of the technical staff of the Biology Department. The technician supports the freshman teaching laboratories by preparing and setting up reagents, equipment, and materials for the labs; assisting faculty and teaching assistants in troubleshooting lab exercises; and maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient lab environment. Reporting to the Laboratory Coordinator, this half-time position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of afternoon and evening laboratory sessions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field is preferred.
