Key Responsibilities
Below is a brief overview of the role, not a full job description.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Paraprofessional work providing support and specialized enforcement for the Parking Enforcement Division within the Cape Coral Police Department.
  • Under the general supervision of the Sergeant assigned to the division, performs research, investigative, enforcement, and follow-up duties on parking violations for the City.
  • Issues notices of violation and parking citations for non-compliance with parking regulations.
  • Prepares and processes cases for administrative review or hearings as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, and one (1) year of vocational work experience in enforcement, investigation, or customer service.
  • Must satisfactorily complete approved training, when scheduled, to become a Parking Enforcement Specialist, as outlined in city code *12-127 within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must satisfactorily complete the CJSTC approved course for Parking Enforcement Specialist within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license upon hire and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire.
