Quality Control Lead 8am-4:30p- Tue-Sat

OBJECTIVE: The Quality Control Lead performs a wide variety of duties that support the goals of the Quality Control department, providing guidance to Quality Control Technicians, Label Control, and Quality Batch Record Review and ensuring compliance to internal and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Quality Control Manager to establish and manage department work priorities.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to employees in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Lead Quality Control Technicians in the quality and manufacture of products.
• Oversee training Quality Control Technicians.
• Prepare/ oversee the approval and distribution process for labels to production according to company procedures.
• Prepare/ oversee production paperwork in accordance with SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Provide guidance and support to Quality Batch Record Review.
• Resolve problems identified during quality control activities.
• Audit production lines.
• Complete or assist in internal quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO, OSHA, and all other regulatory requirements, in accordance with company policy.
• Adhere to company safety requirements.
• Regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations
• Knowledge of chemical terminology and units of measure.
• Awareness of scientific methodology, basic statistical understanding.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to read and interpret written policies and procedures.
• Experience in a lead/supervisor role preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly required to talk and/or hear.
• Frequently required to walk.
• Frequently required to sit or stand.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg).
• Vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Good manual dexterity.

$23/HOUR
