Position Summary

The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a 9-month Instructor (generalist) in Education to begin January 2026. Responsibilities include teaching education content and methods courses for preservice elementary teachers and engaging in professional and university service activities. This is a face-to-face position in Evansville, IN.

Duties/Responsibilities

The faculty member is expected to teach courses designed for education majors at the undergraduate level and engage in service-related activities including participation in departmental, college, and university committees and professional organizations. Although some courses are taught in distance education formats, applicants should expect an on-campus presence throughout their employment term.

Required Knowledge and Skills

A Master's degree in Education with a focus on elementary education or closely related field is required along with a minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience in a P-6 classroom setting.
