Our team approaches every project and partnership with care, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellence. We are looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Sheet Metal Assistant in Lubbock. The Sheet Metal Assistant will be responsible for aiding help with fabrication and installation of all sheet metal on various commercial roof systems. Starting pay: $18-$20 per hour Responsibilities: Must be able to do copper, solder, and operate a auto break Experience with standing seam metal roof system, metal wall panel system, plate and ACM metal wall panel systems. Experience in single-ply membrane systems. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly, repeated bending, climbing, kneeling Must be able to climb a ladder 40' Must be able to work in the heat and cold No fear of heights Must work well in a team environment Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old Minimum 1-2+ years of verifiable experience Experience with concealed fastener and exposed fastener metal roof systems Familiarity with metal soffits and wall panels Ability to operate either a manual or automatic metal brake machine Proficiency with commercial flat roof metal flashings, including coping, counterflashing, drip edge, continuous cleats, conductor heads, downspouts, gutters, etc. Valid US driver's license Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly Must be able to work at varying heights and during variety of weather conditions Ability to communicate well with clients, supervisor and co-workers. Working Conditions: Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature. Physical Effort: Extensive standing, walking, climbing ladders.
