What You Will Do as a Customs Compliance Analyst:

The Customs Trade Compliance Analyst role is accountable for ensuring company compliance with international trade regulations by analyzing trade laws, interpreting operational data, classifying products, reviewing documentation, and coordinating with vendors and brokers to support lawful import and export activities.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Serves as subject matter expert by interpreting and communicating import and export guidelines supporting adherence to complex international trade laws and regulations
  • Integrates and analyzes intricate data generated by the company's operations to identify potential compliance risks and opportunities. This includes administration of data tables for accuracy and completeness
  • Develops, monitors, and reviews compliance processes to ensure adherence to evolving international trade regulations. This includes providing Transaction Value Statements, Proforma Invoices, Importer Declarations, Anti-Dumping monitoring, tracking Tariff Rate Quotas, reviewing documentation, validating country of origin, and other information for prompt and accurate entry filing
  • Manages the audit of entry filings, brokerage invoices, and ACH duty payment and reconciliation processes
  • Oversees the Raw Materials Affidavit Solicitation Processes, ensuring the accurate recertification of the country of origin and Preference Qualification for all raw materials

Skills for Success:

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Brokerage license preferred but not required
  • Experience with customs regulations, import/export, or other supply chain related roles (preferably in manufacturing)
  • Must be able to research, understand and interpret Trade Rules and Regulations from resources such as Harmonized Tariff Schedule, CROSS Customs Rulings, US Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) and other regulatory documentation
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, Power Query and Power BI
  • Strong analytical aptitude and database management skills
  • Demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills
  • Detail orientated with the ability to prioritize work
