Located at Coborn's Warehouse and Distribution Center, our team of Print Services experts uses digital printing equipment to create materials to support all areas of Coborn's business, from posters to handouts, in-store signage, and banners, our team partners closely with our internal Marketing team to design remarkable pieces of art.

As the Digital Print Operator, you will learn how to use the digital print machines, assist with machine general maintenance, and assist with inventory of all paper stock and supplies. You will work closely with our internal teams and vendor partners to troubleshoot technical or print quality issues if they arise.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Use digital printing equipment to print single and multi-color items such as ad items, sell sheets, forms, supplies, and special projects, with an emphasis on wide-format printing work.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain bindery equipment and functions to efficiently and effectively fulfill orders. Including post-press functions.
  • Use and maintain prepress workflow and profiling to maintain exceptional color quality standards for each project delivered.
  • Monitor quality to ensure and maintain an elevated level of quality in the work produced.
  • Perform low-level maintenance on all equipment and make any necessary repairs or replacement of parts to keep the equipment running efficiently.
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal teams and external partners by effectively managing job tracking and scheduling, ensuring all quality standards and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Work cooperatively with co-workers to efficiently schedule, and utilize equipment, materials, and time to meet deadlines.
  • Unload trucks and stocks paper and other supplies and inventory.
  • Monitor supplies, report to Print Services Manager, inventory needs, thus controlling inventory and expenses to achieve department budgeted goals.
  • Perform other duties within the Print Service department and other areas of the business as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience in a print shop or digital press environment.
  • Demonstrate background in digital printing processes.
  • Working knowledge of how to operate bindery equipment and digital printers with familiarity in wide-format printing equipment.
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate and able to follow-through to exacting customer specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and logically organize own work in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs. unaccompanied.
  • Intermittently lift and move up to 75 lbs. to waist height unaccompanied.
  • Regularly stand and walk for duration of shift.
  • Occasionally required to sit, stoop, climb, or balance.

Skills, Certifications & Licensures:

Computer Skills:

  • Must demonstrate ability to functionally operate computers in networked environment, using both specialized applications as well as standardized administrative software including, but not limited to e-mail, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must demonstrate competency to learn and operate print production software. Previous experience with specialized printing environment software platforms helpful.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.

Licenses:

  • Possess a current state driver's license and valid insurance with the ability to travel to business locations as needed.

Pay Range

USD $17.50 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
