DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing, posting, and processing a diverse range of financial, payroll, and audit documents. Your duties will include maintaining payroll records, which involves posting changes, conducting audits for completeness, and reviewing both the input and output generated by the payroll system. You will also prepare payroll reports utilizing QuickBooks, along with managing various reimbursement and revenue/expense logs. Additionally, you will oversee expenditure and budgetary control accounts, preparing detailed reports that reflect the account and fiscal status. Your role will require you to analyze forms, correspondence, audit findings, and other financial records to ensure the completeness and accuracy of information, as well as compliance with relevant rules and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Forest County. If no eligible candidates who live within Forest County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
