Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Scientific and Technical Information Specialist to work on our team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.

You will oversee the collection, organization, and dissemination of scientific and technical information, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide primary support and responsibility for the daily operation and technical processes of Scientific and Technical Information Program (STIP) and associated applications.

  • Provide guidance and direction to programs for data management and storage process expectations and responsibilities.

  • Assist programs with classification and export compliance reviews to clear documents/records for public release.

  • Assist with installations of software, troubleshooting, and resolving issues for customers.

  • Develop user accounts and system access.

  • Coordinate activities for STIP system upgrades and system administration.

  • Identify process automation, user experience, and system improvements for STIP applications and processes.

  • Perform customer testing of improvements and enhancements to STIP systems and support Lab-wide STIP processes.

  • Provide software management and oversight for the review, training, implementation, documentation, and assessment of STIP systems.

  • Provide relevant STIP training to company, government, contractors, and other users.

  • Responsible for documenting issues and submitting service requests for software engineering support.

  • Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure customer needs and contractual requirements are met.

  • May develop customer training materials, guidance documents and required quality procedures to support program applications.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in applicable field. Relevant experience commensurate with level.

Preferred:

  • Relevant experience in data management, records management, document control systems.

  • National Archives Federal Records Management Certificate of Federal Records Management

  • ERA Access

  • Certified Archivist (CA

Job Information: The pay range for this position is Salary grade 410 ($46,392-$90,564). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials, manipulate tools, type on a keyboard, reach with hands and arms, and operate job related equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with people is required.
