Wieland is hiring a Plant Manager. The Plant Manager will be responsible for the operational results of the business entity, including day to day areas of safety, quality, delivery and financial performance of the organization. In addition, the Plant Manager is responsible to derive the strategies to achieve the goals of the organization and driving towards the company's vision, drive continuous Improvement of the organization for future growth and success of the organization. This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.



Responsibilities

Plant Manager Responsibilities:

    Satisfy customer expectations for quality, delivery and performance of products and services.
  • Assure performance to annual financial performance objectives of the organization.
  • Align organizational results and plans with the overall corporate strategic vision and plans.
  • Reinforce the company's core cultural values and set a positive personal example to the team to optimize behavioral and performance expectations.
  • Develop the organization to foster continuous improvement.
  • Establish a culture of Lean Thinking and processes in the organization.
  • Promote a Safety culture; Set a positive Safety Leadership example.
  • Increase production, maximize equipment availability while minimizing unnecessary costs and improve current quality standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively and develops employee skills to have a high position flexibility.
  • Ensure retention of key members, identify and develop new talents of the core operating team and provide leadership to successfully achieve business goals. Align priorities, communicate expectations, and progress, and effectively manage individual as well as team performance.
  • Monitor KPI's and triggers corrective and improvement actions on a continuous basis.

Plant Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/Operations/Management or other related fields.
  • MBA and/or any high-level Leadership-Management training desirable.
  • 5-10 years of management experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of a safety-oriented leadership style that leads to success.
  • Strong background in Strategic Planning and problem solving.
  • The personality to manage change throughout all departments and levels.
  • Demonstrated skills in continuous improvement & extensive knowledge of LEAN tools and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people-management skills.
  • High level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
