Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Shift Supervisor in its Grand Prairie, TX, plant. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

The Shift Supervisor position will be on the night shift on a 3/2 schedule and reports to the Finishing Manager. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Two to five years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Must have strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

  • Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years supervisory experience

  • Flexographic printing experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Management:
  • Monitor all production activities with focus on productivity, quality, and on-time delivery

  • Identify and resolve production issues efficiently

  • Ensure products meet customer specifications

  • Manage inventory through daily cycle counts

  • Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives

Safety & Compliance:
  • Foster a safety-first culture and drive awareness

  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment

  • Ensure adherence to company and OSHA regulations

  • Investigate safety incidents and prepare reports

Team Leadership:
  • Create a positive, engaged work environment

  • Conduct regular team meetings

  • Manage administrative activities (attendance, scheduling, performance reviews)

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback

  • Ensure proper training in safety, production, and quality procedures

  • Coordinate with other supervisors for shift consistency

Quality & Customer Focus:
  • Ensure internal and external customer expectations are met

  • Oversee quality inspections and job checkouts

  • Work to reduce customer complaints through process improvements
