Department of Tax and Collections Division Manager – Customer Experience & Fiscal Services

The Department of Tax and Collections (DTAC) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking executive to serve as the Division Manager of Customer Experience & Fiscal Services—a high-visibility role that shapes how the County of Santa Clara engages with its residents.

About the Role: Your Impact and Influence

In this executive-level position, you will oversee two essential divisions: Customer Experience, where you’ll ensure every public interaction reflects DTAC’s values of clarity, compassion, and service excellence; and Fiscal Services, where you’ll lead critical revenue programs that support schools, special districts, and essential public services.

This role is for a leader who can:

·         Elevate the Customer Experience: Lead high-volume operations—including the call center, email, and public correspondence—ensuring every touchpoint is responsive and service-focused.

·         Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee complex accounting functions and ensure compliance with County policies and regulations, including programs like property tax and medical collections.

·         Drive Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with leadership to align operations with departmental goals, using data and performance metrics to guide decisions.

·         Lead with Integrity and Compassion: Foster a high-performing, mission-driven team culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and public trust.
