The Digital Transformation Office Our Digital Transformation Office pioneers innovative and highly impactful product solutions that span the globe, serving the diverse Sony Group ecosystem.
Our DX Product Management team builds a global data exchange and activation platform that seamlessly integrates first-party data from diverse sources across Sony Group Companies. This platform empowers advanced data analytics for strategic decision-making, enables large-scale machine learning scenarios such as forecasting, classification, and marketing automation, and drives data activation-turning insights into impactful actions that enhance customer engagement and business performance.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of AI innovation and data productization. We're seeking a strategic thinker and execution champion who thrives on turning visionary concepts into scalable, market-ready solutions that advance Sony's global digital transformation. The ideal candidate will bring a proven record of influencing a variety of members in cross-functional, global environments.
This position is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site in the Culver City Office.
Lead Product Vision & Strategy: Define and execute a customer-centric strategy for a global-scale data platform that enables secure, compliant, and frictionless data activation across markets. Drive Global Roadmap : Prioritize and deliver product features and enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility, and ROI-working closely with global engineering, design, and operations teams. Translate Strategy into Action: Define detailed product requirements that balance scalability, regulatory needs, and user experience, enabling seamless data access and integration. User Experience (UX) & Insight: Champion a user-centric approach by analyzing user behavior and feedback, collaborating with design teams, and leveraging analytics to continuously improve product experience. Market Analysis: Track emerging technologies, market shifts, and regional regulatory changes to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global stakeholders, including Engineering, Data Governance, Security, and Compliance to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely delivery. Measuring Product Success: Define and track global KPIs for adoption, engagement, and impact; analyze performance data to guide prioritization and optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Computer Science) preferred for strategic and technical depth. 10+ years of product management experience, including significant experience leading global-scale data or platform products. Global Platform Strategy & Economics: Demonstrated understanding of platform economics, cost optimization, pricing models, and scalable operations across multiple markets. Proven Product Leadership: Track record of successfully launching and scaling global-scale, data-driven products-simplifying data access, integration, and activation while ensuring compliance and security. Technical Fluency: Ability to engage effectively with engineering teams, understand architectural trade-offs, and drive technical prioritization for global delivery. AI-Driven Innovation: Demonstrated understanding of how to leverage AI and data analytics to enhance product value, optimize processes, and drive informed decision-making. Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Uses data, experimentation, and global market insights to shape product direction and measure impact. Excellent Communication & Collaboration: Able to influence and partner with cross-functional teams globally to drive strategy and deliver results. Ownership & Accountability: Demonstrates strong ownership in ideating, defining, and delivering global-scale solutions that provide exceptional experiences for users, drive business value, and ensure secure, compliant, and scalable outcomes. The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $160,000 to $180,000. In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of 17%. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
