What you'll do:

As a Globla Sanctions Specialist you'll be responsible for reviewing customers, accounts and individual transactions for matches to individuals or entities that are subject to US sanctions. You'll execute risk management responsibilities in areas such as sanctions advisory, issues management, and monitoring and testing from a sanctions compliance and risk perspective. You'll complete first level analysis of potential matches through interdiction software platform and escalate to Global Sanctions Analyst or Senior Analyst as required.
  • Provide feedback and escalate issues identified from screening into clients' KYC documentation and risk categorization.
  • Lead detailed and complex analysis and investigations.
  • Support sanctions screening analysts in complicated cases and provides expert knowledge in other sanctions related escalations.

What you'll need:

  • 1+ years of related experience in BSA/AML & Financial Crimes or similar field.
  • Some college or technical training required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of OFAC compliance and experience with payments processing.
  • Knowledge of trade finance and FX transactions preferred.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of the risk assessment process and demonstrated management experience with the ability to develop and manage a strong team of professionals.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist preferred.
