Advantage Technical is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support smooth and efficient manufacturing operations by providing employment-related support for hourly bargaining unit (HBU) employees. This role plays a key part in workforce management, employee engagement, and HR compliance within a fast-paced unionized environment.

Pay: $27.16/hr

Responsibilities:



  • Manage daily HR functions including leave tracking, reinstatements, records management, and employee inquiries
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new HBU employees
  • Assist with workforce planning, deployment, and compliance with contractual and policy guidelines
  • Help implement lean manufacturing practices tied to employee development
  • Foster a positive work environment by supporting employee engagement initiatives
  • Support administration of local and national collective bargaining agreements



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ year of experience in HR, labor relations, or a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work variable shifts, including weekends
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience working in unionized manufacturing settings
  • Comfortable engaging with all levels of management and union representatives
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
