The Station Bill Crane Operator will be responsible for operating different types of cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. This position requires extensive knowledge of the equipment's capabilities, safety protocols, and the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions to ensure the safe and efficient movement of fuel and heavy equipment. The Station Bill Crane Operator will attain and maintain unique qualifications as an NRF Crane Operator. General qualifications may include: Radiation Worker, Lockout-Tagout, Fall Protection, Man-Lift Operator, Department of Transportation physical requirements, and any other radiological, environmental and safety qualification deemed necessary. Physical demands of this position include: able to bend, stoop, climb ladders and stairs, work at heights and wear fall protection equipment. Employees will be required to work rotating shifts and overtime as necessary to support mission needs. Essential Duties:
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
High school diploma or GED and 3 years of heavy equipment operations experience. Preferred Skills
Proven experience as a crane operator.
Familiarity with hydraulic, lattice boom, overhead cranes or other types of cranes. Compensation and Benefits

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
