TRIO Academic Success Coach

Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina, UNC Asheville is the designated public liberal arts campus in the University of North Carolina system. Typical office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional work on evenings and weekends may be required during peak times throughout the academic year.

The TRIO Academic Success Coach is a key resource in supporting low-income and first-generation college students and students with disabilities in achieving academic, career, and personal success. TRIO is a U.S. Department of Education grant-funded program, providing comprehensive academic support services to college students with a range of academic needs. This role involves providing personalized guidance, connecting students to resources, and fostering skills necessary for success in higher education and beyond. The Academic Coach will also facilitate workshops, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and actively collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus partners.

Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of work experience in providing students services in higher education.
