Summary of Primary Function: Supervise operation of Batch Plant and mixers. Ensure that concrete is batched for BDS Production on a timely basis. Order sand, gray cement, stone, special stone, etc. as required by production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises Batch Plant; and mixers to ensure maximum production of concrete as required by BDS.
- Order sand, gray cement, architectural cement, stone, special stone, etc., as needed for production and inventory.
- Inspect Batch Plant to ensure that Preventative Maintenance is performed on a regular basis.
- Inspect equipment, conveyors, hoppers, and aggregate piles.
- Inventory sand, cement, and aggregate as needed.
- Deliver batch sheets to QC and Industrial Engineering.
- Substitute for Mixer Operator as needed.
- This position is a leadership role for production. As a company representative to all crew members, this individual must be able to listen and communicate appropriately in any situation.
- Must be capable of responding to production with very high sense of urgency
- Supervise Loader Operator, Tuckerbilt Operator, concrete Truck Driver, Mixer Operator, Maintenance Technician and general worker positions.
Job Specifications or Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Previous experience in finishing concrete is required.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration.
