Join Our Team as a Logistics Planning Intern!

In this position, you will support the logistics team in optimizing supply chain operations. Your role will involve assisting with inventory management, scheduling shipments, and analyzing logistics data to identify areas for improvement. You will collaborate with vendors, prepare necessary documentation, and contribute to process enhancement initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in logistics, providing valuable insights into supply chain management and operational efficiency.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Assist with Planning and Scheduling:Support the logistics team in planning and scheduling inventory and production.


  • Data Analysis:Analyze logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.


  • Inventory Management:Help manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of stock.


  • Vendor Coordination:Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.


  • Process Improvement:Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency.


  • Reporting:Generate and manage reports related to logistics performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:


  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate college student attending an accredited program working towards a BS or MS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Management, or a related field.


  • Work schedule will be flexible to match your course schedules but prefer at least 20 hours a week.


  • Previous internship or coursework in logistics, supply chain, or related areas is preferred.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasional lifting of objects up to 40 pounds.
