Serve as an extension of COM at the Clinical Site within the assigned region. Provide administrative support for the COM student experience at the clinical site.
- Schedule, organize, develop resources and serve as a point of contact for student orientation to the site.
- Maintain confidential student records according to policy. Ensure student documentation, training, and files including immunization records are up to date, consistent with clinical site requirements, and confidential. Communicate and schedule training updates when needed based on clinical site protocols.
- Works with COM and regional clinical faculty to develop and maintain student rotation schedules. Works with the COM Office of Clinical Affairs to keep schedules updated as needed.
- Work with students to facilitate selective and elective choices and scheduling within the site.
- Schedule and communicate student programming at the site for student case presentations, didactics, workshops, and training as well as student participation in hospital programs such as grand rounds, tumor boards, or related events.
- Secure resources for educational purposes when needed.
- Escalate student needs, and concerns to the Regional Assistant Dean and/or COM leadership according to COM policy and procedure.
- Participate in all opportunities, events, and communications to educate students about the site.
- Utilize COM software platforms to enter and update schedules, invoicing, evaluations, etc. as needed.
- Participate in training related to the site student educational experience as needed.
Associate's degree Two or more years of experience as administrative support in a multiple staff office. Comprehensive computer knowledge and skills in working with databases, spreadsheet data, creating reports, and email communication. Excellent interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree, experience in a clinical setting or experience in an educational setting.
