Job Overview
Under general supervision, performs minor maintenance and repair tasks within the following occupations: Painting, Carpentry, Pipefitting, Electrical, and Refrigeration. Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Performs maintenance tasks to accomplish work at hand; interior plumbing to worker's capability, minor repairs such as adjusting doors and windows, including knobs and locks, patching holes in walls, touching up spots, puttying, caulking, scraping, sanding interior and exterior structures, electrical repair such as replacing light bulbs, switches, switch covers, outlets and outlet covers.
- Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures, household appliances and equipment; cleans and maintains equipment, surfaces, ducts and grills.
- Maintains and repairs water fountains, toilets, urinal, faucets and drains.
- Replaces and cleans air conditioning filters.
- It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
- Participates in functional specific safety training.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Accountable For:
- The proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment commonly used in the maintenance field.
- Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
- Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
- Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
- Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
- Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
- Having the ability to work well under pressure.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of progressive experience performing duties described above.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and maintain access to the AEDC local area computer network.
- Must possess a valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give, and take directions.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

Security:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and to obtain and maintain access to the AEDC local area computer network.
