*Eligibility Criteria Apply Job Summary The Sr. Bankcard Specialist will provide support for card programs including consumer credit, commercial credit, debit, gift, banking-as-a-service/fintech programs. Responsibilities will include performing card system and customer maintenance, providing expertise and support on card programs for lines of business and various accounting and reconciliation activities. Manage daily operations including card ordering, processing, dispute cases, fraud and all other related card activities. You will be a Subject Matter Expert and work cross-functionally to seamlessly provide quality service for internal and external clients. You will develop, implement, enhance, and monitor various processes and procedures to ensure American National Bank meets internal audit, governmental regulatory or payment network requirements. In this role, you will assist in training for less experienced team members and may lead associates or team on various projects. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer incoming branch or customer inquiries including but not limited to onboarding, ordering new or replacement cards, lost/stolen and blocked account, declines, disputes or card limits management.
- Develop and maintain various processes and procedures to ensure adequate controls to meet internal audit, governmental regulatory or payment network requirements.
- Identify areas for process improvements or enhancements, provide benefits analysis to change, and lead or assist in execution of changes.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly network reporting, settlement and reconciliation activities for all card programs.
- Complete daily or monthly dispute processing activities including but not limited to core transaction posting, fee refunds, vendor oversight, escalation of issues, fraud reporting and dispute statistics.
- Monitor processor or network fraud notification and alerts, identifying emerging fraud trends and escalating to processor and ANB Management as appropriate.
- Outreach to branch personnel to verify activity with customer and take necessary actions for confirmed fraud.
- Process or monitor various card program activities such as hot-carding, collections, delinquencies, bankruptcy, payments, onboarding, credit balance refunds, card production, bulk orders, inventory management, and daily maintenance.
- Adheres with bank policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
- Collaborate on education for lines of business on all card program processing and security measures for smooth customer experience.
- Participate in or lead cross-training efforts to enable flexibility across the team.
- Build strong rapport with lines of business by using interpersonal skills, asking clarifying questions and anticipating needs.
- Assess vendor or network communications for process changes, trending, upcoming products, services issues for potential uses or impacts.
- Process entries for vendor or network billing or settlement.
- Support Bankcard Program Manager in any program / product development, implementation, rollout, or ongoing management of card programs.
Experience Needed:
- 5-7 years of card operations experience
Education, Licensure & Certification Needed:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
