Position Summary

The Sales Development Associate supports the sales team by managing CRM data, engaging with major customers, and contributing to strategic initiatives. This role is designed as a developmental position with the goal of preparing the individual to become an Account Manager. The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, fresh ideas, and a willingness to challenge the status quo to help drive innovation and growth.

LOCATION:

Houston. Hybrid work environment with occasional travel or onsite meetings as needed.


Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Manage and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Support the Sales team in customer engagement activities, including follow-ups, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies for major accounts.
  • Participate in internal discussions to improve sales processes and customer experience.
  • Contribute to CRM initiatives, including reporting, training, and implementation of new features.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer needs, internal processes, and market dynamics.
  • Bring new ideas to the team and actively participate in brainstorming and innovation sessions.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with data analysis
  • Strong interest in sales, business development, and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently while staying connected with the team.

DESIRED:

  • Experience with CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
  • Internship in a corporate environment
  • Familiarity with industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Aerospace, or Environmental.
  • Prior exposure to sales or customer-facing roles.
  • Technical aptitude or background in business, marketing, or engineering.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
