Job Summary The Clinical Operations Manager will assist the Director in the development, organization, and implementation of assigned department's operations. Responsibilities include fiscal management, staffing and talent development, quality improvement, customer service, and department planning. This person is accountable for managing the day-to-day operations of assigned department(s), ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. The Clinical Operations Manager is a leader in talent management and development within the assigned department(s), including recruitment, hiring, engagement, development, performance management, recognition, and succession planning. What you will do * Operations & Quality Assurance -Lead the day-to-day operation and coordination of patient care services for assigned areas. Monitors clinic workflow to ensure efficient patient care and cost effective operations of the department. Support daily activities of team members in order to ensure all projects are completed on time, in budget, and in compliance with all standards. -Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, regulatory requirements, and infection prevention best practices with a focus on patient and staff safety. -Collaborate with quality improvement teams to develop and implement quality initiatives, patient safety protocols, and performance improvement measures. -Analyze and interpret department data including patient satisfaction data; with providers, department supervisors, and staff to identify opportunities for change and create action plans for improvement. -Manage the process of appropriately responding and resolving patient and family complaints and grievances. * People Leadership -Performs full range of leadership responsibilities which include, but is not limited to; interviewing, hiring, coaching, and development of employees; managing performance and any performance issues; planning, assigning, and directing work; encourage innovation, teamwork, fiscal responsibility, high-quality work, and a positive/productive work environment. * Strategic Development -Partner with leadership in strategic planning efforts and assist the Director in developing long-term strategies and goals for departments. -Analyze department processes, systems, and procedures to increase efficiencies and collaborate with the Director, department supervisors, and staff to identify opportunities for process improvement. -Contribute to the development and lead implementation of departmental policies, protocols, and strategic initiatives. * Budget -Assist in creation of annual budget. -Monitor department budget variance and financial performance. -Recommend capital purchases and equipment in addition to managing capital equipment and ensuring full utilization of service agreements. Education Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in related field OR graduate of a nursing program OR equivalent experience of Associate's Degree in related field plus 4 years relevant work experience Required Experience Qualifications * 3-5 years Leadership Experience Required * 3-5 years Work experience in a healthcare setting that demonstrates adequate clinical knowledge needed to lead assigned department(s).
