ChampionX is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager located in Houston, Texas to support RMSpumptools. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving Artificial Lift sales and RMSpumptools projects in Mexico and Colombia, as well as being a Global Ambassador for RMSpumptools. What You Will Do:

  • Researching organizations and developing plans for business and revenue growth in the Artificial Lift Market in Mexico and Colombia
  • Finding and developing new markets, improving salesand potential project work
  • Developing technical quotes, and proposals for clients.
  • Representing RMSpumptools - technologies, expertise, values and reputation
  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives
  • Identify and develop strategies for further market penetration.
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
  • Articulate value story, technology, and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Attend and participate in tear down and equipment inspection and reports across the Mexico & Colombia Regions
  • Effectively develop and execute regional sales plans to support the strategic growth objectives while maintaining a profitable gross-margin for the region
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual sales in the region with high levels of accountability, integrity, and ethics
  • Communicate with the Sales Team and the Production Team regularly to guarantee that sales and client objectives are met
  • Provide product training at the field and corporate levels for all customer types
  • Provide periodic sales activity report as required
  • Manage a geo-region to deliver sales revenues, customer support and objectives as defined by the Director of Sales
  • Develop and update reliable sales forecasts
  • Identify, qualify, and convert project and new customer sales opportunities that will contribute to the territory revenues
  • Promote integrity and ethical behavior with customers, partners, and employees according to RMS policies

Position Details:

  • Work week: Monday through Friday, weekends as needed for customer account management
  • Region includes Mexico, Colombia and some areas within the Andes region.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% in the specified sales territory (both air and land)
  • Regular attendance and punctuality for customer meetings, business meetings and trainings.
  • Comply with company and safety procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other relevant subject
  • 10 years of sales experience in Artificial Lift or a related area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • 5 or more years experience working in the Mexican Artificial Lift Market
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present, influence, and collaborate at the leadership level.
  • Strong technical expertise in oil and gas automated lift
  • Highly motivated to deliver results with strong attention and follow-up.
  • History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Ability to present, influence, and collaborate at a leadership level.
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
  • Be proactive, organized and handle work under uncertain environments.
  • Defining, implementing and innovating sales plans
