Position summary:

The Senior Manager, Innovation & Financial Systems Strategy is a visionary leader responsible for driving finance transformation and innovation. This role leads the corporate finance Innovation Function, oversees the financial systems ecosystem, and manages a corporate finance Project Management Team. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, deep systems expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement to modernize financial operations, deliver a five-year systems roadmap, and elevate the accounting systems team into trusted business advisors and analytics enablers.

Pay Range: $124,900 - $206,300 (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Essential Functions:
* Lead the finance innovation function to champion forward-thinking finance transformation initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy.
* Design and execute a five-year roadmap for financial systems modernization and digital innovation.
* Establish a robust intake and prioritization framework for evaluating high-impact initiatives.
* Cultivate a culture of innovation, agility, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance and IT.
* Provide strategic oversight of the financial systems landscape, including PeopleSoft, PowerPlan, Oracle EPM, Utilities International, PowerBI and Power Automate.
* Ensure systems compliance with GAAP, FERC, SOX, and SEC and other regulatory requirements.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and system analysts into strategic business partners.
* Drive successful execution of system implementations and upgrades, including business case development, fit-gap analysis, and change management.
* Establish and track project KPIs, ROI, and success metrics to ensure value delivery and continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert in financial systems architecture and process optimization.
* Collaborate with IT, Finance, and external partners to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions.
* Promote a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and results.

What Is Required:
* Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance transformation, financial systems, or related disciplines
* Minimum of 5 years of experience leading enterprise-level innovation and change initiatives.

What Is Desired:
* PMP, CPA, CFA, or Six Sigma.
* Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
* Experience in a regulated utility or publicly traded company.
* Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
