Operations Manager

STS Technical Services is hiring an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will lead and optimize production planning and execution as our client transitions from an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) model into a scalable, medium-volume manufacturing operation.

• Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with operational goals and business growth targets
  
• Lead the transition from ETO to repeatable, scalable manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and quality
  
• Execute day-to-day operations through a team of production supervisors, providing leadership, coordination, and accountability
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, engineering, and quality to ensure production readiness and resource availability
  
• Implement and refine ERP/MRP systems, workflows, and reporting tools to increase visibility and control
  
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  
• Manage material availability, capacity planning, and shop floor execution
  
• Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and innovation
  

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
  
• 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production management
  
• Experience in both ETO (Engineer to Order) and CTO (Configured to Order) environments
  
• Proven success in scaling operations and leading organizational change
  
• Proficiency in ERP systems and digital inventory management tools
  

• Project management or supply chain experience
  
• Familiarity with Smartsheet or Epicor
  

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between local facilities (<10 miles)
  
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and handle materials as part of daily operations
