Main Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compliance with legislative obligations regarding safety and health in the workplace; Maintaining the relevant certifications
- Implementation of the Company's safety programs
- Responsible for the implementation of ISO 45001. Develops implements and maintains plans, policies and procedures relating to the EHS Management Systems in place
- Responsible for incident management. Ensuring accident investigation and reporting requirements are carried out and that appropriate corrective actions are agreed and completed in a timely manner. Coordinates incident review teams.
- Lead EHS Committee and maintain EHS Committee minutes and agendas.
- Responsible for ensuring that Risk Management reports are reviewed and that all key exposures are addressed by implementing directly or recommending appropriate corrective actions to senior management.
- Ensure EHS reviews are integrated into the Management of Change process and the Lean efforts. Ensure EHS Compliance Calendars are developed and maintained, and that required activities occur to maintain EHS compliance.
- Lead Site weekly EHS walks. Manage actions to improve safety standards in the workplace.
- Identifies and records EHS training needs, along with Line Managers, providing training and development as required on a company, departmental and individual level.
- Responsible for ensuring EHS internal and external audits are carried out in a timely manner and corrective actions are documented and closed within the specified time frame.
- Maintains EHS records for the site to comply with local legislative requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Leads the Corporate EHS Audit Program as an auditor
- Support to the external consultant. Responsible for ensuring that all necessary licenses, permits and authorizations are in place and renewed as required by current governmental legislation.
- Ensure that any specified conditions or action levels are monitored and maintained within prescribed limits.
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Auburn, Indiana location.
Work Environment: Facilities in Auburn, Hamilton, Indianapolis, IN, New Albany, OH, Clinton Twp., MI, Denver, CO, and Atkins, AR.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Understanding of all components of an EHS Program, such as including accident investigation, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, life safety, machine guarding, air permitting, wastewater, hazardous waste, property conservation, and workers' compensation.
- Bachelor or above major in safety engineering or other engineering discipline.
- Certification in Environmental and safety management.
- At least 5 years related work experience and above 3 years team management experience of EHS.
- Experience in manufacturing company is essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Organizational Agility - Able to work in matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities.
- Action and work orientated - strong problem solver and detail driven.
- Politically savvy and has a proven track record of holding gravitas and presence in the manufacturing environment.
