GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Planning Assistant will support the Production Planning Department. Duties include general clerical task such as data entry, correspondence preparation and maintenance, generating standard database reports, system validation, research and follow up related to special projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Assist with the release and distribution of job specific packages to include: Drawings, Manufacturing Orders, and Inspection Plans to Material Control and Manufacturing.
  • Conducts Plan Review steps on jobs including related ERP transactions ensuring documentary compliance.
  • Generates weekly reports related to LOB (Line of Balance) and updates daily.
  • Creates and generates Ad hoc reports for various program platforms.
  • Performs various task within our ERP system of record.
  • Assist with rescheduling of open production orders in the ERP system.
  • Communicates and creates work order rescheduling related to sales orders within ERP database.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Compensation:

$26.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Required:



  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.
  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
  • Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of administrative experience.


Preferred:



  • Familiarity with ERP systems and MRP a plus.
  • Experience in production support and/or manufacturing environment preferred.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Preferred:



  • May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • May work extended hours or weekends.
  • Office and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds in accordance with KUAS General Safety Training guidelines.
