Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is based out of the Lakeville, MN; Rochester, MN; or Mankato, MN office locations.

The contributions you will make: This position provides day-to-day facilities management for all locations. The incumbent develops and maintains a comprehensive facilities plan, including inventories, pipeline, reporting, key concerns, and approaches to solve key issues. Responsible for facilities budgeting and resource planning. Leads facility projects and initiatives for the organization, works with property vendors, and coordinates/negotiates third party relationships with facilities and furniture vendors, contractors, land lords, etc. Interacts with Office Ambassadors to coordinate office needs. In addition, works with legal counsel on all property documents. The incumbent prepares and monitors capital and expense budget related to facilities expenditures; negotiates leases, renewals and terminations of facilities and furniture purchase agreements. Responsible for facility space planning, including contingency, space and capacity planning in coordination with the Human Resource department. Provides support to the Security/Business Continuity Officer and monitors building security efforts. The incumbent collaborates with Compeer leaders to align facilities strategy with overall organization objectives and direction.

A typical day:



  • Fulfills internal facilities requests to accommodate human resources needs and changes.
  • Provides additional coordination on new changes within the office structure, which would include working with contractors, monitoring invoices for work completion, follow up on project timelines, and locating new building sites.
  • Coordinates and negotiates third party relationships with facilities and furniture vendors, contractors, landscapers, landlords, etc.
  • Tours and inspects properties on regular basis.
  • Maintains records and files for all properties. Develops, implements and maintains strategic facilities plan supporting Compeer's organization priorities and imperatives in a cost effective manner.
  • Is responsible for facilities budgeting and resource planning.
  • Leads facility projects and initiatives with external vendors.
  • Works with property vendors.
  • Collaborates with legal counsel on all property documents, including leases, renewals and terminations of facilities
  • Serves as primary contact for security systems, alarm reporting, 24-7 coverage of alarm monitoring call list notification, ID Badge requests, security awareness and general office security issues through primary contact with Office Coordinators.
  • Fulfills ID badge changes and requests.
  • Evaluates systems changes and enhancements as needed.

The skills and experience we prefer you have:



  • Associates' degree in property management, accounting or related or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience, preferably in facilities and/or property management, or physical security systems management/monitoring.
  • Property Management certificate preferred.
  • Solid interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project coordination and time management skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects at the same time, while working independently.
  • Intermediate knowledge of fixed asset/inventory management.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office applications and other related software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
