Summary/Objective:

This position performs the duties related to the procurement of replacement parts for the facility's equipment and machinery along with other materials and supplies. Performs procurement function for the department according to CMMS/purchasing software and as requested. Receives, maintains and issues a variety of supplies, materials and replacement parts. Will perform the duties related to procurement and inventory control. This position reports to the Materials Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Purchasing Inventory Coordinator will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Perform procurement function in accordance with daily replenishment requirements for the department according to the CMMS/purchasing software Replenishment Reports
  2. Receive purchase requisitions and requests from various internal departments and vendors for purchasing decisions.
  3. Maintain, audit, and reconcile inventory records.
  4. Issue and track purchase orders & purchase agreements to ensure contractual compliance.
  5. Conduct research on products using internal manuals, online catalogs and multiple websites.
  6. Maintain perpetual physical inventory of stock parts.
  7. Work collaboratively with Purchasing and Warehousing regarding records of items purchased and received. Verifies types and quantities of items received against invoices, packing slips, purchase orders and/or freight bills.
  8. Receive, store and issue a variety of supplies, tools, materials and parts for repair and preventive maintenance.
  9. Resolve various issues and problems, such as stocking of new items, damaged products and handling returns, with co-workers and vendors.
  10. Resolve various issues and problems regarding invoice discrepancies, freight charges, late purchase orders, proper credit processing and all other associated paperwork, with Accounting, Purchasing and vendors.
  11. Assure procurement processes are followed, creating value, driving continuous improvement and cost savings.
  12. Responsible safe and efficient operation of forklifts and scissor (aerial) lifts
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. Three years of experience in purchasing or systemized inventory control
  2. Knowledgeable with MS Office Suite, Advanced MS Excel, CMMS experience
  3. Effective time management skills and the ability to organize and direct the quality of the work of teams amidst the demands of multiple projects and demanding internal and external customers.
  4. Ability to work and handle multiple cross-functional teams.
  5. Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to senior-level management, customers and suppliers.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting. The Team Member will have to lift and/or move items between 30 and 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours/days of work are decided by your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
